TALKING ABOUT DIVERSITY WITH SYRIAN REFUGEES | Montreal On May 30, Sodexo’s Cultural Diversity Group, represented by Jean-Marc Zéhil and Sylvain Beauregard, spoke about Sodexo at a Montreal Chamber of Commerce event presenting “Opportunities for Syrian refugees in the Montreal job market”. Jean-Marc, who remarkably gave his address in Arabic, commented on the professional opportunities available to Syrian refugees and new immigrants, and emphasized the importance of cultural diversity at Sodexo. TALENT UNTAPPED | Toronto Sean Callaghan, co-chair of ADEPT, had the honor of having his team at Loblaws Toronto featured as an example of good practices in Anna-Karina Tabuñar’s critically-aclaimed documentary Talent Untapped which unveils the difficulties people with disabilities face when trying to be part of the workforce and provides tools for more inclusive workplaces and for which Sodexo was one of the sponsor partners. MOVE FOR GEN1 | Calgary WiLL members participated in Move for GEN1, an inspirig and energizing work-out that is part of the Canadian Women’s foundation GEN1’s movement to buid the first generation free of violence against women and to know real gender equality. CCAB GALA | Alberta Sodexo was the Lead Event Sponsor at the third Annual Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business Gala which raised over $100,000 and which will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross’ Alberta Fires Emergency Appeal.
